In consultation with the client, Nexus designed a strategy-review workshop for the board of a community housing association.
Our approach to the workshop was to provide the board with a matrix for considering the risk and benefits of different strategic options that were to be considered, and to facilitate a discussion based on this approach.
We then facilitated the workshop with the Board.
Through our engagement the Board:
- considered the analytical matrix provide and made some changes to tailor it to their needs;
- used the framework to focus on the strategic risks and opportunities of certain options;
- reached a shared understanding of the preferred strategy.
Our engagement enabled the client to manage current strategic decisions and provided a useful resource and example for future strategy development and oversight.
