How we work…
Nexus consultants have extensive experience as public sector employees working at all levels of government, including in senior leadership roles. We therefore understand the impact of effective job design and classification on the recruitment process and, ultimately, on agency outcomes and outputs.
Our experience also affords us a deep understanding of the relationships between public sector agency structure and functions and their implementation via appropriate job design and classification.
Nexus consultants are proficient in the development of new job descriptions and the review of existing positions. We work closely with our clients to understand the organisation and its business needs and reflect those throughout the job design process.
Our experience working across many public sector agencies as employees and consultants has resulted in an in-depth understanding of the relativities between job types and levels. We have a whole of public sector perspective, and also understand job design within specific sectors such as education, health, justice and law enforcement, central agencies, regulation and oversight.
Our consultants have expertise in the use of public sector job design and classification tools for all job levels including specified callings, senior executive and non-senior executive and CEO/Director General positions.
We have an excellent record of approval by the Public Sector Commission for senior level jobs and supporting business cases.
We are proud to be an approved job design and classification provider on the Department of Finance Human Resource Services Common Use Agreement 2021.
Nexus has undertaken classification, remuneration and job design projects for over 15 government agencies including (amongst others) the:
